Description:

The exhibits program at the GLBT Historical Society brings the archives alive! Over the past twenty years the Historical Society has presented scores of exhibits on topics ranging from gay athletes to the Dyke March to gay rights organizations of the 1950s. The Historical Society is home to three exhibit spaces in which we present new and original exhibits on a regular basis.

Exhibit Docents greet visitors to our gallery spaces, give them an overview of the exhibits, and answer any questions visitors might have (or direct them to the appropriate staffer). No prior knowledge is required, as an exhibit guide is prepared for the docent, and they are given a tour prior to their first shift.

Exhibit Docents are needed Tu-Sa 1-5pm. Each volunteer docent is expected to make a 3 month commitment to at least 1 day a month.
