Description:

The Olancho Aid Foundation, located in Juticalpa, Honduras, is currently seeking teachers for its bilingual primary and middle school, Centro Escolar Santa Clara. Santa Clara has doubled in size over the last year, underscoring the important role that it plays in educating young people in the Juticalpa community.

We are in particular need of teachers qualified/certified to teach in the following areas:
- English Grammar, Literature, and Social Studies
- Math and Science
- Art and Music

The school year is from September - June, and at least a ten month commitment is required (2 years preferred). We provide housing to all volunteers and a living stipend to those individuals staying for at least 10 months. This is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and creativity skills in the classroom and in a non-profit organization.

The Olancho Aid Foundation is a faith-based organization that empowers Honduran youth to transform themselves, their communities and their country through education. From special needs to bilingual classrooms, our team of international volunteers and Hondurans are dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing an environment that stimulates intellectual and spiritual growth and fosters independent thinking.
