The World Artist Network is working at the moment with inner-city schools in Bridgeport, Connecticut to bring them art through free workshops.

The art projects in the workshops are meant to assist in the building of social and problem-solving skills, get children to understand and express their emotions, and help them develop creativity and artistic skills.

Using a wide range of mediums from painting, drawing and sculpture, to dance, singing/rap, theater, writing and more, the focus is to provide children and young adults focus with a form of expression and a source of inspiration to thrive in challenging environments.

We are looking for volunteers from all walks of life willing to donate three hours of their time each month to teach a workshop that fits their area of expertise. (Depending on the school)

Volunteers must be reliable, patient and positive mentors.

We rely on the donation of art supplies for these programs, from various sponsors.

The mission of the World Artist Network is to promote the Arts and encourage the artistic and intellectual development of the global community by presenting effective local and online programs that support the freedom to develop and create, as well as providing venues for new and established artists to share their experience and works with each other and the general public.
