Description:
Communication Specialist of the Board of Directors
Location:
This position is located in Washington, DC. Meetings are held monthly at Thomas Circle. For more information, visit www.beyondtalent.org.
General Responsibilities:
The Communication Specialist is responsible for marketing and outreach activities for Beyond Talent.
Specific Duties:
The Communication Specialist is responsible for:
o the management of the Beyond Talent website,
o creation and execution of the Beyond Talent newsletter,
o management of the Beyond Talent email list, and
o taking on additional duties and special projects, as requested by the Board of Directors.
Beyond Talent Website:
o the Communication Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and the material posted to the website,
o the Communication Specialist is responsible for maintaining the Beyond Talents domain name, and communicating with the treasurer to ensure that the website domain name is paid for.
o When the Board of Director’s reviews the website, the Communication Specialist is responsible for updating and keeping the website current.
Newsletter:
o the Communication Specialist is responsible for creating and sending out the Beyond Talent newsletter,
o When the Board writes articles for the newsletter, the Communication Specialist is responsible for adding those articles to the newsletter, and
o The Communication Specialist posts the newsletter to the Beyond Talent website.
Accountability:
The Communication Specialist is accountable to the President of the Board of Directors or members as specified in the bylaws.
