We're looking for someone to help us manage a number of community initiatives. Most of these initiatives involve talking with people, sharing information, and generally shepherding a number of growing communities. Good applicants love working with people, have a light informal approach, are motivated independent workers and have a strong interest in art,science,research and education and have a good understanding of the web.

A typical initiative that our community manager might be involved in would be contacting researchers interested in sharing their work in a public web video, connecting them with each other and making sure the project follows through at a social level and finding interesting ways to share the results.

The time demands are variable but a good community manager is willing to be in touch and responsive to the community.

The position is for a volunteer, but resources are, and a small stipend may, be available.
