Description:
Become a volunteer with Purrfect Pals and help homeless cats at off-site adoption rooms in pet stores throughout Puget Sound. Donate two or three hours of your time once a week to help with cleaning or adopting.
Cat Room Cleaners/Socializers: Clean cages, clean litter boxes, refresh water and food, replace bedding and toys. Enter info in Daily Observation Log. Includes repetitive bending and lifting. Play with, groom and comfort cats. Monitor public visits and answer general questions. Volunteers must feel comfortable interacting with the public and be able to professionally represent Purrfect Pals. Volunteer shifts can be done any time store is open, but preferably morning, afternoon or early evening.
Adoption Counselors: Help find forever homes for our cats. Assist the public with adoption procedures, process adoptions, socialize and interact with the cats, and spot clean as needed. This position requires excellent people skills and is very rewarding. Shifts are two to three hours, once a week.
