Description:

The Chordoma Foundation is a North Carolina based nonprofit cancer research organization working with patients, doctors, and scientists to accelerate the development of effective treatments for a neglected form of cancer called chordoma. Our website is our primary tool for connecting, engaging, and informing our constituents. The site has recently undergone a major redesign and content expansion, so we are looking for a talented volunteer to help create, update, and manage content and features on our website. Your work will have a direct and lasting impact on the success of the organization, and will touch the lives of thousands of people.

The position will involve 6 to 8 hours of work per week, and can be performed remotely from anywhere.

Responsibilities:
• Design and create new web pages using a user-friendly CMS and/or HTML
• Upload and format content written by staff and freelance writers
• Write occasional news stories and/or blog entries
• Monitor and moderate user generated content
• Work with our web developers to design, create and update website features

Qualifications:
• Good writing skills
• Basic HTML proficiency
• A keen sense of style and attention to details
• Creativity, self motivation and reliability
