Chiang Mai is the home of an international airport, restaurants of almost every cuisine, incredible shopping and world class hospitals. It has long been a favorite of travelers. It is also in the heart of the “Golden Triangle”, a beautiful and culturally rich region that borders Myanmar/Burma) and Laos.

Volunteer at an elephant sanctuary and contribute to the survival of
Asian Elephants! The Asian Elephant is only thriving due to the work of sanctuaries and reserves, and this program gives volunteers a chance to help with this massive effort by assisting staff with bathing and feeding schedules. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to teach English to staff and trainers. Volunteers may be asked to help out with other areas of the elephant camp during their volunteer service. These additional things could be anything from taking care of one of the baby elephants to moving equipment. Any little bit helps in the development of the camp.

Housing: Volunteers live in treehouses. The treehouses have flushing toilets, locking doors, hot showers, and queen beds.

Project Duration: Programs start the first and third Mondays of the month. It is best if volunteers arrive on Friday, so orientation can take place over the weekend and volunteers can start at the park bright and early on Monday.
