Description:
Founded in October 2006, Rising Minds is a grassroots, Non-Profit organization that works in both local and international communities developing programs that provide community outreach and promote global understanding. Rising Minds aims to educate and create passionate and proactive leaders.
Locally in the U.S., Rising Minds hosts educational events, fundraisers, and presentations to illuminate the impact that individuals have in their own in communities and the world at large. We offer educational and promotional materials that promote cultural diversity, effective learning strategies, and global awareness. In order to strengthen experiential learning, Rising Minds works with schools and colleges to create more opportunity for community involvement and to develop hands-on projects that may be used to cater to a greater cause.
Internationally, Rising Minds works in partnership with Los Patojos, a school and community initiative in Jocotenango, Guatemala. Aimed at cultivating leaders through an integral education, Los Patojos represents a large part of our beliefs. We offer support to Los Patojos through fundraising, promotion, educational outreach, and the facilitation of international programs.
Rising Minds believes that education is the single most powerful means of creating change. We believe that an integral education: one that incorporates global awareness, family integration and hands-on, experiential based-learning helps to provide the necessary tools for people to become pro-active and socially responsible citizens.
