Description:

For students or job seekers – set your own schedule (minimum of 8 hours/week) to work with the leading not-for-profit women’s business development organization.

At no time in our recent history has it been more vital than now to come together, and Count Me In is in the forefront of efforts to create jobs through supporting women’s business growth. With the launch of our Make Mine a Million $ Business RACE, women business owners now have access to tools and resources such as a personal profile, financial dashboard, blogs, message boards, member searches to help them grow their businesses.

We currently have some great volunteer opportunities available that we think you should know about.

• Identification of business resources on such topics as market research, financing, technology, operations and more, for posting on the Count Me In website. This information can be pulled from various business websites, articles, and other sources. The skill set for this project would be a moderate to high level of comfort with internet research and telephone contact as well as experience with Microsoft Office.

• Conduct research on foundation grants related to job creation and/or women’s economic development. The skill set for this project would be a moderate to high level of comfort with internet research, comfort with telephone contact, and experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with grant administration is helpful, but not required.

• Reach out to women business owners in our community to help answer program related questions. Assist in outreach efforts to help engage more community members.

• Analyze data from surveys, assessment tool, and dashboard and help compile findings. Write case studies on individual Racers.

• Organize, tag and upload photos and videos for archival purposes, and work with the Manager of New Media and Communications on selecting and promoting viral media for Facebook, MySpace, and other outreach mechanisms.

Working with Count Me In gives you a meaningful volunteer experience – an opportunity to network and meet women entrepreneurs, and to get acquainted with the best business resources to help women grow businesses.
