Description:

The P.W. Enhancement Center (PWEC) is a non profit community based organization whose mission is to provide bundle services under one umbrella to help people who are homeless, less fortunate and underprivileged, and to enhance the quality of life for the betterment of the community. Our vision is to build a multifaceted facility that houses long-term, wraparound services, including, but not limited to: emergency shelter, employment services, youth education, homeless prevention, substance abuse counseling, basic life skills, food services, permanent housing and other needed resources.

The P.W. Enhancement Center is in need of Program Assistants. We are looking for passionate, personable volunteers committed to serving under-resourced communities. Volunteers will gain excellent experience assisting with programs at a growing non-profit providing supportive services to those that are homeless or low-income. Training will be provided. We offer volunteer orientation, support, and recognition.

Duties:
*Provide administrative support to staff members
*Assist with problem solving and project planning
*Schedule/coordinate meetings and events
*Screen phone calls
*Set-up appointments
*Assist visitors and clients

Preferred Skills:
*Ability to relate well to the public, in person and on the phone
*Greet visitors and provide basic information to visitors and callers, take messages, respond to inquires
*Effective office, time management, and organizational skills
*Ability to speak effectively
*Motivate, develop and direct clients
