Description:

As a Cross-Cultural Solutions international volunteer, you're making a meaningful contribution, working side-by-side with local people and sharing in the goals of a community that warmly welcomes you. You're experiencing another culture like never before and really getting to know its people.

You'll gain new perspectives and insight into the culture and yourself. It's an exciting and personally inspiring experience, and you'll develop memories that will be with you forever.

Cross-Cultural Solutions operates a volunteer program in the modern, capital city of Rabat, with its stunningly beautiful palaces and mosques.

Volunteers in Morocco work in partnership with CCS Partner Programs from the local community and are involved with:

- Caring for infants and children
- Teaching children
- Teaching English
- Assisting teachers
- Observing and assisting local health professionals
- Working towards women's empowerment
- Caring for people with disabilities

The CCS experience also includes cultural and learning activities such as an in-depth orientation, insightful discussions with staff and local experts on cultural norms, basic language instruction, guest speakers, and special events. Free time is available some afternoons and evenings, and every weekend.

Lodging, meals and transportation are provided for all volunteers. A typical CCS Home-Base consists of a comfortable house in a safe, conveniently-located neighborhood. Three home-cooked meals are served each day, and healthy snacks and bottled water are available at all times. Transportation is also provided to and from the airport, and to all volunteer placement sites and cultural and learning activities.

In addition to Morocco, Cross-Cultural Solutions operates programs in Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Peru, Russia, South Africa, Tanzania, and Thailand, with start dates year-round and programs from 1 to 12 weeks in length. Wherever you choose, our in-country staff warmly welcomes you to the CCS Home-Base, your home away from home.

The Program Fee covers the expenses of operating the program and so much more, including: pre-departure materials, coordination of your personalized volunteer placement, in-country cultural and learning activities, Home-Base lodging, all meals, in-country transportation, experienced and professional support staff, all local and incoming international phone calls, a 24-hour emergency hotline, and travel medical insurance. Program fees are 100% tax-deductible for US residents and many people successfully fundraise.
