Description:
Cage comforters help keep cats happy and healthy while they await adoption. Some cats are looking for affection and play, others are scared and need a patient person who will help alleviate the fear.
We have an ongoing need for this.
Requirements:
-You must be 18 or older.
-You must commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week.
-You will need to sign waivers of liability due to the nature of working directly with animals.
-This is a physically demanding job.
-You will be required to write down what happens during your visits in the log book so that other volunteers can learn from your experiences and we are able to track the progress of the cats.
You will receive training and guidance. We will send weekly email updates on the status of our cats and what is happening with our organization.
We are seeking caring, conscientious volunteers. You need to be the person who doesn't let a cage stay dirty and the person who shares the wonderful things our cats do and informs us if the cats look ill.
Our cats are sheltered on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
