Description:
An Apple a Day , a start-up non profit, was founded on the belief that through supportive wellness programs, all children can excel academically and develop better life skills and self-management strategies. We teach children to take care of their minds, bodies, relationships, society and their environment.
Our organization is seeking a board members who can provide guidance in areas of long-range planning and strategic thinking. This involves personal commitment of time, energy, personal and professional contacts.
We seek Board members with experience as key volunteers or board members in other not-for-profit organizations. An ideal Board candidate will have experience helping raise funds for a non-profit.
We need men and women who are mature, reliable, and able to commit one hour per month to board meetings.
We need people committed to connecting our organization with people and organizations that can and are are willing to help children in the area of social and emotional wellness. We need committed collaborators for taking on the risks involved in growth, providing and/or getting the resources (cash contributions from foundations, corporations, government, and individuals to make growth viable.
Board members must serve on at least one organization committee (fundraising, marketing, programming)
