Description:

Green Edge Collaborative is a social network for community members to learn and discuss how consumption choices affect our social, environmental and economic worlds – in our local neighborhoods as well as our global community. Through community engagement, Green Edge Collaborative facilitates an ongoing dialogue that builds awareness and inspires action toward a sustainable future.

Green Edge Kentucky is a new chapter of our community for a sustainable future. We're looking for people interested and passionate about sustainability issues ranging from local, organic food to waste management/recycling/composting to energy consumption to solar power to wind energy....you name it!

The staff will be critical in keeping a growing organization working productively and successfully. The commitment will vary in range from 5-15 hours each week. Qualified candidates will be able to exemplify skill and experience in related areas. Internship credit may be offered if needed.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Maintaining communication schedule with collaborative partners
Preparing marketing emails
· Maintaining sites such as Facebook, Idealist.org, etc.
Website updates
Manage incoming general inquiries
· Assist in the planning and organization of events
· Assist in planning internal meetings and deadlines

· Available in a volunteer capacity to learn the ins and outs of managing a rapidly growing organization.
· College student or graduate
· Proficient in web marketing and formal business communications
· Highly organized
· Capability to work “at home” in the Louisville/Lexington area
· Friendly and willing to learn and grow in a team-oriented setting!
