Description:
Holiday Volunteers is an African based network dedicated to connecting and engaging people from all cultural backgrounds to volunteer work programs in Africa and organizing a wide range of Internship opportunities for students looking for gaining experiences in African based socio-economic development programs.
Areas of volunteer work opportunities offered by Holiday Volunteers network includes orphanage assistance, teaching, health care, computer training, media and journalism, law, sports, street kids education and care and other social and community development. Participating in Holiday Volunteers' volunteer work programs is ideal for individuals and groups of any size.
Volunteers can participate in Holiday Volunteers' programs in Africa anytime of the year and all year round. People with ages from 18 to 85 years, any religion, profession, race or nationality are accepted to participate in the program.
Holiday Volunteers has its Volunteer houses which are condusive for all couples and singles, young and old with running water, electricity, flash toilets and shower rooms but with no hot water. After paying the program fee of US$100 per week Holiday Volunteers does not charge any other fee, airport pick-up, meals and accommodation are included in the program fee but volunteers meet the costs of going back to the airport at the end of the their Volunteer service. Period of participation is for a short, medium or long term basis, 1week to 6 months.
Holiday Volunteers' work promotes Unity of Mankind, friendship, cross-cultural exposure, peace, understanding, solidarity and breaks new grounds for sustainable socio-economic development through volunteer work programs in Africa.
