Description:
The placement is a community Health Center based in western Kenya and serves a community of 5000.
The area is a malaria zone and therefore most of the patients are children and pregnant women who are more vulnerable to malaria attack.
The health center has only one clinical officer, a nurse and a Laboratory technician. The staff are overwhelmed by the number of patients they handle every day.
The placement requires trained volunteers in the following areas;
- Nursing
-Trained as a Clinical Officer
- Reproductive health
- Nutrition
The placement will require a volunteer for a period of one month to one year.
Costs:
Registration fee of 100Euros
Covers: Airport Pick up, Accommodation before travel to the placement, Orientation and Trabsport to the placement.
300Euros per to cover for the Food and Accommodation in a host family.
