Description:
JASA’s PETS Project assists senior citizens living in Manhattan with tasks necessary to care for their beloved companion animals. The PETS Project is always in need of more compassionate, animal-loving volunteers to assist our clients, many of whom are physically unable to perform some of the duties necessary to take care of their pets.
Cat owners are in particular need, so if you are a cat lover or a dog lover willing to broaden your horizons, we need you! One visit a week to help a client change a litter box or play with a pet cat can make a world of difference!
JASA (Jewish Association for Services for the Aged) is the largest community based social service agency serving the elderly in the New York area. JASA provides an array of social services to New York area seniors with the mission of enabling the elderly to live independently for as long as possible.
