Description:

The Endangered Species Coalition is a national network of hundreds of conservation, scientific, education, religious, sporting, outdoor recreation, humane, business and community groups across the country. Through public education, scientific information and citizen participation, we work to protect our nation's wildlife and wild places. The ESC is a non-partisan coalition working with concerned citizens and decision makers from all parties to protect endangered species and habitat.

On Sunday, May 23rd 2010, the Endangered Species Coalition is organizing the Race the Stop Extinction (RTSE) in downtown Portland, Maine. RTSE is a 5 K race/walk with proceeds to benefit the Endangered Species Coalition.

The Event Manager will help organize all aspects of the race indlucing securing sponsors, engaging other non-profits, outreach, media etc.

The event manager will also recruit and manage other volunteers to help registering participants, tabling, timing, logistical support etc....................
