Description:

I am working with a group of people to start a Green Prison Program in the Columbus area and am looking to bring others to grow our capabilities. We have been working with the Majora Carter Foundation, a local warden, OH state representatives, and numerous others to organize the program.

Our program has two missions:
1. to train prison inmates with relevant, valuable green job skills they can use as soon as they are released
2. to modify local OH prison operations to save energy and water, reduce wastes, produce more food locally, and generally increase their environmentally-friendliness

Similar programs are already very successful in Washington, California, and Wisconsin.

We are looking for anyone passionate about the subject and willing to help! If you are interested, please email us. I am also happy to send you more information!
