Description:

blueEnergy is an NGO that focuses on rural electrification and water filtration projects in communities in Nicaragua. It is a great place to gain valuable experience to help break into the competitive NGO/Alternative Energy job market.

The Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua is a beautiful and diverse region, but it is in desperate need of basic services such as energy and clean water. Lend a hand and help develop renewable energy and clean water solutions by volunteering for blueEnergy.

The organization develops various sustainable energy solutions to support the communities along the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua, such as wind and solar energy, LED lighting, water purification solutions and communication solutions. blueEnergy also provides local capacity building to train community members in system maintenance to ensure the sustainability of each project.

blueEnergy volunteers live and work in a communal environment. We are made up of an interesting group of people from all over the world with shared interests in renewable energy, Latin America, and our desire to apply our systems to help communities in the area. It is a dynamic setting where hard work and play are both encouraged.
