CHEBAGOGO FOUNDATION is dedicated to providing high quality education, housing, healthcare and eventually career opportunities for Kenyan AIDS orphans. We wish to provide assistance to all types of AIDS orphans in Kenya, regardless of their religious beliefs, tribe, gender, or culture.
CHEBAGOGO Foundation seeks a volunteer to join our team as a Grant Writer. The individual selected will identify define, and develop funding sources to support the existing project as well as coordinate the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to corporations and foundations. The position may potentially be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on the performance of program activities that are funded by third-party public and private sources.
One must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in research, interpreting, and analyzing diverse data and possess the ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve stated goals.

Primary responsibilities include preparation of proposals and grant applications, work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities.

Other responsibilities:
• Research and identify new government and private funding prospects
• Generate proposals and supporting documents
• Maintain and implement funding calendar activities
• Communicate with funding organizations and agencies
• Identify funding opportunities and new program areas to match institutional priorities, using research tools
• Special projects related to fundraising as needed
