Description:
Short term volunteers: Short term volunteers will be doing some form of unskilled reconstruction work in order to assist us in rebuilding a homeowner's home. This can include anything from painting, building ramps, yardwork, simple construction, gutting, tiling, flooring, etc. We would ideally like 8 to 12 volunteers a week to help with this work. We welcome people with skills, but none are required.
Long term volunteers: We'd also welcome any people who are planning on an extended stay in New Orleans and need something to do to occupy their time. Depending on our need at the time, long-term volunteers could do a variety of tasks that would include some of the same work as short-term volunteers, as well as office work such as seeking funders and sponsors, seeking volunteers, helping with the planning of events, etc.
How to Apply:
If you are interested in volunteering long-term or short-term with PNOLA, please contact Kristi at kristi@pnola.org or (504) 717-4731. You can visit www.pnola.org or pnola.blogspot.com for more information about our current projects. Both groups and individuals are welcome.
