Description:

The Task Force is looking for gay and bi men in the Nashua to help start a gay/bi men's social support group.

Over the course of our work in the gay male community, the Task Force has encountered a definite lack of community in the Nashua area. Along with concerns voiced to us by members of the gay community, we are concerned about the lack of support, social venues, and opportunities for gay culture in our area. We are aware that there are social groups around the state that are successful at providing support and social activities to gay men and we want to help stimulate the formation of a group in the Nashua area for gay and bi men and provide some support to gay men that is not necessarily HIV prevention based. We believe that the first step in overall health is a supportive community. Please note that this group is NOT a prevention group. It will not be a “Task Force” group. We are hoping to provide support for gay men in our area to begin building their own vibrant community, on their own. We are looking for volunteers to become potential leaders in Nashua and help form a group and keep it going.

How to Apply:

Contact Josiah Richards at 603-595-8464 ext. 24 or j.richards01@aidstaskforcenh.org to ask about volunteering. Gay or bi men of all ages are encouraged to participate. Even if you just coming out, you participation to creating this group may be helpful.

Our next planning meeting is Wednesday, February 3. Please contact Josiah for more details.
