Description:
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT SEGUIN SERVICES
1. TEACH A CLASS—Share what you do best. Instruct a group of developmentally disabled adults or an individual—aerobics, cooking, computer use, horticulture, karate, music, for example.
2. RELIGIOUS SERVICES—Take someone in your neighborhood to worship services.
3. SPECIAL OLYMPICS—Coach a team or accompany trips for our Special Olympics teams—Basketball, track and field, softball.
4. OTHER ACTIVITIES—Help out at dances, parties, outing to sporting events, museums, etc.
5. CLEAN UP, PAINT UP, FIX UP—Seguin buildings throughout the area can use amateur painters, landscapers and other maintenance services.
6. SPEARHEAD SPECIAL DRIVES—Back to School Fair for foster children collects school supplies; Holiday drive provides gifts for children and adult clients.
7. FUND RAISING AND SPECIAL EVENTS—Help plan and execute special events. Help with ticket sales. Assist with promotional activities. Volunteer at the event as a host or hostess.
8. SHARE YOUR EXPERTISE—Be part of a committee exploring entrepreneurial activities to provide earned income to support Seguin programs.
Program sites are located throughout the western Cook County suburbs and eastern Du Page County suburbs.
