Is Idealist free?

Joining Idealist.org as an individual is free! Moreover, individuals may use all of Idealist’s online services and resources free of charge, such as: searching our databases, subscribing to our email alerts, and participating in an online forum. Attending our Career Fairs as an individual is also free.
Consultants must pay a membership fee to be included in our Consultant Directory ($50/6 months, $95/year). However, membership in our Organization and Idealist Group directories is free!
For all consultants and U.S.-based organizations, there is a $60 fee per job listing. Job listings remain on our website until the "Last Day to Apply" specified in the listing passes. This can be a maximum of 60 days from the time of posting. At any point prior to the application deadline, the listing may be updated free of charge. Only those consultants and organizations that have registered for membership with Idealist may post a listing.
U.S.-based organizations also have the option to purchase a job pack, which offers a discount on our standard job posting price (10 jobs for $475 or 30 jobs for $975).
All other listings are free to post!
Organizations may also be asked to pay a fee for participating in our fairs and sponsored conferences (i.e. registration for a Career Fair is $50). There is no requirement to use any of our fee services in order to have access to the ones that are free.
