What is a Personal Profile?
Answer:
A Personal Profile is a searchable description of yourself, your interests, the issues that are important to you and a photograph of yourself if you wish. It is designed to allow individuals with common interests to find one another and share ideas, resources, and experiences.
It is up to you to decide what to include in the Personal Profile. However, please note that the profiles are not designed for job searches and therefore we don’t allow resumes to be posted on the site As with all the content on Idealist, we reserve the right to decline any inappropriate entry. All resumes will be deleted without notice.
To create a Personal Profile, do the following:
- Login to your Member account by going to our homepage and filling in your login information in the Member Login field on the right side of the screen.
- Now you will see your Control Panel page. Click the tab My Profiles.
- The menu will expand to show your different profiles. Click “Create” to the right of “Personal Profile.”
- On the next page you can specify all your preferences.
- Click Submit.
