Listing Your OrganizationWhy does the registration form not accept my organization's name?Answer:Someone in your office has already created a profile on Idealist, or a chapter office of a larger organization has taken the general name of the organization. If you find that someone from your office has already registered with Idealist, find the page on Idealist that has your organization's information and see if a contact person is listed. If so, contact that person about providing the password for your organization so you may associate your Member account to your organization’s account. If you find that the contact person is no longer with the organization, please contact us from your organization's email account with the name of your organization as it appears on our site so that we may provide you with the necessary information. We do not release log-in information over the phone. If your organization's name was entered by another chapter office, use your geographical location to distinguish your page. For instance, if another chapter has created a record for "Habitat for Humanity", consider calling yourself, "Habitat for Humanity of Raritan Valley." It is also possible that you, or someone else at your organization, created a profile for your organization in the past that we were not able to approve, either due to a lack of information for or another reason. If this seems to be the case, please contact us to let us know so that we can help you register your organization.
