Information about posting jobs on Idealist.

Answer:

To post a job listing on Idealist you must be a registered nonprofit organization, consultant or group on our site.

Here are some quick details about posting on our site

  1. Job listings cost $60 per listing regardless of text length and time listed on the site for nonprofits, companies or groups. Payment is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice.
  2. Job listings stay on our site for 60 days by default. However if you specify an "application deadline" before 60 days, that is the date the listing will be removed from our site.
  3. If you specify an application deadline before 60 days, it may be extended to a different date within the original 60 day period. There is no limit to the number of times that you can extend the deadline and there is never a charge to update or extend a listing, as long as the application deadline has not already passed and the listing is for the same position.
  4. Job listings go up immediately after being submitted, but are subsequently reviewed by Idealist staff.
  5. Job listings must be submitted via our online form by the organization, company or group. We do not post listings for any users.

Also, we ask that you please help us to avoid abuse of our job posting service by keeping in mind the following:

The archive and repost feature is meant to be used when a position previously posted on our site reopens due to employee turnover or an increased demand for human resources. An archived listing may be used as a template for a future posting, but you will be asked to pay for the listing as if it were new.

Listings should only be updated in the event that the job description has changed since the time of posting, or there is missing or incorrect information. A listing may also be updated to extend the application deadline.

Each listing should represent only one opportunity in one location. Moreover, we do not allow duplicate listings for the same opportunity to appear on our site.
