How do I post a job?

Answer:

To post a job listing on Idealist you must be a registered nonprofit organization, consultant or group on our site. Further, your Member account must be associated with your nonprofit or company’s profile.

If your nonprofit organization or company is listed already and you have access to this profile, follow these steps:

1. Click on the "Post" option in the blue bar on the top of our homepage.
   
3. Select the type of listing that you would like to post. If the site does not recognize you as a registered user, please enter the email address and password for your member account.
   
5. Once you are recognized by our site, you can create a new posting, or use a template from a previous post.
   
7. Complete the form to finish posting.
   

You can also post from your Control Panel. To do this:

1. Log in to your Member account by going to our homepage and filling in your login information in the Member Log in field on the right side.
   
2. Once you have logged in to your account, you will see your Control Panel. Click the tab titled "My Groups."
   
3. To the right of your organization’s name click "Manage."
   
4. On the next screen you will see your Organization’s Entry & Update Menu. Underneath "Add, edit or delete:" you will see a list of all the types of listings you can post on Idealist. Click the "Job Openings" link.
   
5. A menu will appear underneath the list. Underneath the tab that says "Active," click "Add New."
   
6. On the next page you will be prompted to post a new listing or repost a previous listing (Note that only listings posted after—or active on— October 28, 2006 are available as archived listings. Unfortunately, listings not on Idealist on this date are unavailable).
   
7. Read the directions carefully from here to complete the posting process. Again, you will be prompted to pay the $60 job listing fee immediately after you submit the listing.
