How and where do you market the fairs?

Answer:

We have several methods:

Almost 420,000 nonprofit professionals around the country have requested to receive daily email updates from us about jobs, volunteer opportunities, events, and resources. When a fair is coming to a city nearby, we send out a special email alert to these same people.
We also announce the fairs to the organizations with Idealist.org profiles, recognizing that the staff members of the organizations also want information about their graduate school options.
At our Idealist.org Nonprofit Career Fairs, usually held in the spring, we publicize fall grad school fairs that will take place in the same city – to the job seekers as well as to the organizational staff tabling at the career fairs.
The alumni coordinators of many service programs co-sponsor the fairs: Catholic Network of Volunteer Associations, City Year, Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, Peace Corps, Public Allies, and Teach For America. These co-sponsors get the word out to their constituents when a fair is coming up.
Finally, local co-sponsors of individual fairs help get the word out: AmeriCorps Alums Oregon (Portland), Educational Housing Services (N.Y.), the Washington Internship Institute (D.C.), The Washington Center (D.C.), and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (Austin, Chicago, D.C., Denver, San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California).
