What kinds of organizations attend a Career Fair?

Idealist U.S.-based Career Fairs are currently open only to U.S.-based nonprofit organizations. Similarly, our Idealist Canada-based Career Fairs are for Canada-based nonprofits. Government Agencies are not currently eligible to attend, as many of the universities that host our Career Fairs hold separate fairs for their students who seek careers in government.

We announce the fair cities and dates a few months in advance with online registration. There is usually a good variety of organizations working on issues across the nonprofit spectrum, but Idealist cannot dictate which organizations register for a given fair. We register organizations up until the day of the fair, although space is limited and we accept registrations on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage organizations to register to attend a Career Fair as early as possible.
