What do I need to know about getting my full-page ad in the conference program?

Answer:

Please submit your ad copy by February 23rd. To make our sponsors' advertisements a lasting resource to conference attendees, each ad will have a small area at the bottom of the page dedicated to highlighting three simple steps ("Action Cues") that conference attendees can take to join in our sponsors' ongoing campaigns and programs. There's more on Action Cues in the "Making the Most of Your Ad" section below.

AD DIMENSIONS
7.5"W x 9"H. All ads are full-page. For best display, ads should be vertically aligned (not horizontal/landscape). Ads should not bleed.


AD FORMATS
All ads should be in grayscale ("black and white"). You can send your ad in the following formats:

High-resolution PDF. Please do not compress your PDF, and if you use any non-standard fonts, please send them along with your PDF so we can ensure proper printing.
High-resolution TIFF, EPS, or JPG. We recommend a minimum of 300 DPI.
For all formats, you should scale your ad design to 100 percent of the print size (7.5"W x 9"H) and use images of minimum 300 DPI resolution for optimal results.

We recommend that you NOT submit ads in Microsoft Word or in hard-copy on plain paper. These formats will likely yield undesirable quality in the printed program.


MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR AD
We recommend using eye-catching graphics while avoiding large blocks of text. It's important to include your organization's website address and any other useful contact information. Avoid using any font smaller than 7-point, as legibility may be obscured.

Sharing the page with your ad will be a small (7.5"W x 1"H) box where you should list three Action Cues. Action Cues are short, snappy steps that conference attendees can follow immediately to get more involved in your organization's activities. The Action Cues, which will be designed in a standard format that does not compete with the graphic design of sponsors' ads, are part of the way that we make the printed program an ongoing resource for conference attendees. The main purpose of the Action Cues is to respond to the thought that many conference attendees will have when they see your ad: "This sounds great and I want to get involved, but how do I get started?"

Each Action Cue will fit on one line (maximum 100 characters including spaces per cue); each sponsor can have up to three action cues. Sponsors should write their own Action Cues , and Action Without Borders will do the layout of this small section of each ad page. Here are some sample Action Cues related to Action Without Borders:

AD DELIVERY
To ensure that we can see precisely what you expect your ad to look like, we request that you submit a hard copy of your ad in addition to the actual design file by February 23rd. Remember to include all high-resolution images and fonts used in the ad in your ad bundle. We recommend submitting your ad bundle through a traceable delivery service (like UPS, FedEx, or USPS registered mail).
