What is BBCode and how do I use it?

Answer:

BBCode is a set of tags you can use to format your forum posts. To use them, place an opening and closing tag around the text you wish to format. For example, [b]This text will be bold[/b]. It's important to close your tags, otherwise your formatting will continue throughout your whole post, instead of only the text you wanted formatted.

Here is a complete list of BBCode tags you can use in Idealist forums:

  • [b]This text will be bold[/b]
  • [i]This text will be italicized[/i]
  • [u]This text will be underlined[/u]
  • [color=red]This text will be red[/color]
  • [url]http: //www.idealist.org[/url]
  • [url=http: //www.idealist.org] This text will link to Idealist.org [/url]
