What are job packs and job credits?
Answer:
While it is free to post most listings on Idealist, there is a fee for job listings posted by consultants and U.S.-based organizations. Currently, the fee is $60 per job listing.
However, U.S.-based organizations also have the option to purchase a job pack, which offers a discount on our standard job posting price. We currently offer the following two job packs:
• 10 jobs for $475 ($47.50 per job)
• 30 jobs for $975 ($32.50 per job)
Job packs are not active until payment has been received. Job listings posted before receipt of payment will not be applied toward the job pack. Once the job pack has been activated your organization’s account will be granted the number of job credits that corresponds to the pack purchased. For example, if you purchase the $475 job pack, your organization will be given 10 job credits. The number of credits will appear in the upper right corner of your organization’s Entry & Update menu.
If you have an active job pack, an invoice will not be generated when you post a job listing. Rather, each time a job listing is posted to the site by your organization, a job credit is subtracted from the pack. Job credits do not have an expiration date and the job pack expires when the credits run out. A new job pack can be purchased when three or less job credits remain.

It is not necessary to purchase a job pack to post a job listing. Job listings can be purchased one at a time. If you do not have an active job pack, a $60 invoice will be generated each time that you post a job.
