DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From I-5 north or southbound, take SR-520 east (exit 168B). From SR-520 east or westbound, take the Montlake Boulevard NE exit. Turn north onto Montlake Boulevard and continue north [toward Husky Stadium]. Stay to the right as you cross Montlake Bridge, continue north on Montlake Boulevard past Husky Stadium. (DO NOT take the NE Pacific Street fork to the left.) Once past Husky Stadium, move to the far left lane. After the third pedestrian underpass, you will notice a fork in the road and a traffic light. At the light, take the left fork onto 25th Avenue NE. At the next traffic light, (before the sky ramp up NE 45th) turn left onto Pend Orielle Road and proceed up the hill. Stop at the gatehouse (Gate #3) for directions and to purchase a parking permit.

PARKING
Before parking on campus, stop and purchase a parking permit from one of the following gatehouses:

NE 45th Street and Memorial Way by the Burke Museum
Underground Central Plaza Garage at 15th Avenue NE and NE 41st Street
On Stevens Way by Meany Hall
On Pend Oreille Road off of Montlake Avenue NE
Directly in front of Husky Stadium off Montlake Boulevard NE
In front of the UWMC on Columbia Road

At the gatehouses, traffic guides will assign a parking location according to your destination. Gatehouses are staffed weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon. At the gatehouse, ask for disability parking and building access information as needed. Visitors parking is available in the Central Plaza Garage which can be entered from 15th Avenue NE at NE 41st Street.

The daily parking fee is $12/day between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays. Stop at a gatehouse as you exit campus for a prorated refund if you parked on campus for less than 4 hours. An evening rate begins at 4 p.m. and is $6/evening. Campus parking may be paid with cash or a Visa/Mastercard.

Parking is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking rules and regulations are enforced at all times on all days. During large events such as Husky football games, a special events fee may be charged in some or all areas of campus. Cheaper parking options are available daily in the large E1 lot north of the Husky Stadium off Montlake Boulevard NE for a $6-fee (pay with quarters) for the day or $3.00 if paid with Husky Card Account debit. Also self-serve pay stations are located in several west campus lots (W2, W4, W6, W12 and W14); daytime rate is $3 per hour (maximim 2 hours); or, evenings after 4:00 pm, a flat fee of $5. Outlying east campus lots E4 and E3 northeast of the E1 lot off Clark Rd. are $3.00 (exact change only) per day. Please note that some parking areas are restricted; this means a permit is required at all times. Please check the signs before parking. Valid parking permits are also required in timed zones, such as load zones. Vehicles parked illegally are subject to citation or towing.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
We highly encourage you to take public transportation. Please see Metro Transit or Community Transit for information.

The Husky Union Building is a central point in many of the University District bus routes for Metro and Community Transit. The following bus routes have stops at the building:

Metro All Day Routes: 31, 65, 67, 68, 75, 372
Metro Peak Hour Routes: 205, 272, 277, 373
Community Transit Routes: 810, 812, 821, 851, 855, 860, 870, 871, 880, 885
