HR Council promotes the Idealist Guide to Nonprofit Careers
Date: July 18, 3:55pm
Hello,
I am the communications manager for the HR Council for the Voluntary & Non-profit Sector, a national body that works with organizations, educators, labour and government to identify and address issues related to paid employment in the voluntary and non-profit sector in Canada. Earlier this week I happened upon the newly released Idealist Guides to Nonprofit Careers and I just wanted to let you know how great these comprehensive guides are. I love the different ways I can access the information (i.e. download individual chapters or the entire book), the language is clear and the content is well researched and presented. This must have been a considerable undertaking and your team should be commended for a job well done! I've included a link to this great resource on our website (www.hrcouncil.ca) http://www.hrcouncil.ca/about-the-sector/job-in-sector.cfm I'll also be including information about the Guides for the next edition of HR Perspectives, our monthly electronic newsletter that is delivered to more than 6,000 subscribers in Canada and across the world. You can view the most recent issue at the following URL: http://www.hrcouncil.ca/about/publications.cfm Can you advise if there are any plans to have this material translated into other languages? Thanks! Lee Rose Communications Manager HR Council for the Voluntary & Non-profit Sector lrose@hrcouncil.ca

Hi Lee,
Thanks so much for your comment and for passing along The Idealist Guide to your networks! I read through your newsletter and loved the articles--what an amazing resource you provide! To answer your question about The Idealist Guide being translated: unfortunately, it's not something we have the capacity to do currently. However, we'll definitely keep it in mind for future editions! Thanks again for the kind words--please don't hesitate to pass along other suggestions and comments! Best, Meg
