There are some fabulous magazines that are helping to create a more positive world - some of my favorites are Yes! Magazine, Ode, and The Utne Reader. These all report on the positive things people are doing to make the world better for all of us. Any others you like? Let's try to put together a list of the best!

My husband and I subscribe to YES magazine. When I was a patient at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for a week in 2002, he even visited the YES staff in the area. It's one of his favorite causes, not only because it carries a hope-filled message, but it's small enough for the staff to happily receive his visit.

Mothers Acting Up publishes a journal/calendar each year with featuring 50+ individuals who are working for a better world for children. I think this year's calendar includes Nina Utne, Karambu Ringera, Jane Goodall, Jeffery Sachs, Sweet Honey in the Rock, etc. I love MAU and highly recommend them! They engage in issues with both exuberance and hope. I also like the magazines Adbusters and Sojourners.
