How can we promote Open Source Software?

Join like minded people to start local groups and hold meetings & events

Post notices in Libraries, shops etc...

Hand out leaflets in the street and Metro stops

Offer to install software for people, and mentor them while they learn.

More ideas please!!

* Table at local festivals and community events (e.g. Takoma Park Folk Festival)
* Hold events at libraries (Mount Rainier Public Library has previously hosted two "Free Books, Free Software" days)
* Al Fishawy / People's Media Center has 10 Ubuntu GNU/Linux machines and currently only one occasional teacher (me)...
* Connect with computer refurbishing / recycling centers to better reuse old hardware.
