Where can we get insurance for our volunteers?

Summary:

CIMA offers the Volunteer Insurance Service

Answer:

William Henry, Vice President of CIMA, wrote on November 19,
1998. CIMA is an insurance brokerage in Alexandria, VA, that
specializes in nonprofit and volunteer related coverage and
services.

I invite you to visit http://www.cimaworld.com, and click on
"Volunteer Insurance." As you will see, we've also started our new
site
with a few links to sites with information for volunteer programs.

Our insurance program is unique. Our customers now number about
5,000,
with over 2 million individual volunteers insured.

I'd be happy to answer any questions about volunteer insurance, D&O,
etc.

There may be other insurance services which should be mentioned.
Anyone with a suggestion of an addition to this page should write
editor@nonprofits.org with the details.
