Description:
Music For Life is the parent organization of The African Children’s Choir. We run an extensive child education and sponsorship program in 7 Sub-Saharan African Countries including South Africa
MUSIC FOR LIFE TEAMS
Experience the wonder of working in Africa, serving in enrichment programs working with underprivileged children. Teams of 6 to 12 from the USA, United Kingdom, and Canada travel to Africa on a 3—week mission to serve alongside Music for Life programs. Opportunities vary from country to country, but education for children and adults alike is always emphasized. The projects include serving in children’s ministry, educational development programs, construction and building renovation, and children’s camps. Scheduled during their semester holiday, camp involve 3 to 5 days of daily activities and interactive education where Africa’s most vulnerable children can forget about their daily hardships and just be a kid!
Apply your skills in music, dance, crafts, science, health and wellness, or sports and games to provide these children with personal mentorship and faith development, presented in the form of assemblies, group games, and activity stations. Most teams facilitate 2 camps per trip, with 50 to 250 children each day! Camp positively impacts the entire community as family and friends join in.
DATES AND LOCATIONS
Volunteer opportunities on a Music for Life Team, are available throughout the year, and in the following locations: South Africa, Uganda and Kenya.
COST
East Africa Camps Team:
$950 per person, plus individual airfare; plus $7500 per team (for projects)
East Africa Work Team:
$700 per person, plus individual airfare; plus $4500 per team (for projects)
South Africa Camps Team:
$1900 per person, plus individual airfare

How to apply:
Prior to applying, applicants should first liaise with the Music for Life office or related field coordinators to discuss the program. All applicants must further complete an application form, three references, and a criminal record check. This paperwork must be received by the Music for Life Volunteer Services office before moving on in the process.
