SE PUEDE PREVENIR LA DISCAPACIDAD MENTAL?
Hay muchas enfermedades que producen discapacidad mental, siendo la misma irreversible, pero hay dos que se pueden prevenir las consecuencias en el recién nacido, tomando unas gotas de sangre y averiguando que bebes tienen alguna de esas dos enfermedades, (hipotiroidismo congénito y fenilcetonuria) si se detectan y comienzan el tratamiento dentro de las primeras semanas de vida el bebe se desarrollará normalmente. de lo contario tendrá una discapacidad mental de por vida.
