PAMEPI is steadfast and determined in the fight against child labour. In the pursuit of this vision, we instituted the medical campaign on 25th April 2008 in Agbogboloshie Accra and Alabaa in Kumasi, by giving free medical assistance to pregnant childlabourers, babies and children below the age of ten (10) including food aids.
98% of the childlabourers in Agbogboloshie babies are either born through forced prostitution or pre-marital sex. They are mal-nourished and underweight. Poor sanitation and acute congestion at the slums of the childlabourers are some of the key causes of diseases like malaria, cholera etc. That results in several deaths of these innocent children.
PAMEPI is awakened by the touch of this reality, prompting it zeal in addressing the challenges facing these childlabourers.
