Description:
Mapinga One Education center is located at Bagamoyo, some 40km from the Dar es Salaam city center North. Art in Tanzania has a 13 hectares plot that is developed for educational purposes. The first phase 2009 -2010 includes volunteers and staff accommodation, a nursery and primary school and supporting facilities. Thereon the second phase include Art Education Center, a secondary school and other facilitation. The center is aimed to support art and music talented Tanzanian students and it is supported by Art in Tanzania Dar es Salaam facilities as music studio etc. We are collecting interested people to assist us to progress in the projects. One can volunteer or to join our fund raising work etc. You can contact info@artintanzania.org
How people can help:
Presently we have 2 architects in Tanzania making the drawings and sketches for the Mapinga One project. Thereon several people at UK and US are planning and conducting fund raising activities. The construction is to start on October 2009 and we aim to have the basic facilitation in place around September 2010. Once can participate by volunteering during the construction period as well as joining the fund raising work.
