Description:
Reaching out to men is central to PAVE’s mission. There are an overwhelming amount of male survivors and allies who are in a position to aid in preventing violence. To mobilize this population PAVE has an ongoing Male Outreach Campaign to unite guys as allies in shattering the silence of sexual violence.
The goal of this campaign is to create a community of male allies and survivors working to empower one another to end sexual violence in a project called, ‘Hey, I got your back!” This community will work to overcome perceived threats to masculinity that victimization causes as well as the fear of not being believed or supported. By creating such a community PAVE aims for more men to get involved in ending sexual violence.
