Description:
Chat, play board games, enjoy a pool game or cards in a relaxed drop-in center atmosphere. Get to know a variety of people while participating in various activities such as arts & crafts, watching a movie or preparing healthful snacks. The CSP’s Member Hours occurs four weekdays afternoons and one evening per week, choose what fits your schedule. Team of two volunteers can work together.
Duties:
• Be friendly, respectful and encouraging to the members of the drop-in center.
• Treat every member equally and respectfully.
• Respect members’ individuality and privacy.
• Nurture the member’s self-esteem, self-confidence and trust in others.
• Be on time and prepared to interact with members.
• Coordinate any requests and maintain communication with staff contact.
Shifts Available - on a first come, first served basis.
Day/Time: Monday 1pm – 5pm
Monday half shift available from 1pm-3pm or 3pm-5pm
Tuesday 1pm – 7pm
Tuesday half shift available from 1pm-4pm or 4pm-7pm
Thursday 11am – 5pm
Thursday half shift available from 11am-2pm or 2pm-5pm
Friday 1pm – 5pm
Friday half shift available from 1pm-3pm or 3pm-5pm
Occasionally, additional hours may be available on a Wednesday, Saturday or for special evening events.
NOTE: Students seeking credit, we do advance placement for this position so that you can reserve the shift you seek. Early application is strongly encouraged. All majors are welcome to apply.
