Description:
Job Title: Outreach & Intake Intern
Stipend: Unpaid
Dates of Position: Flexible
Time Commitment: 3+ Months
Location: Bronx
Summary of Position
The Outreach & Intake Intern will work with PSI’s team to spread the word about our services and to enroll new clients into our programs.
- Process Intake Assessment Paperwork
- Contact treatment providers to request lab work and referrals
- Answer Phones and Office Emails
- Lead and assist with presentations
- Follow-up with new clients until their relationship is established with a case manager
- Prepare mailings and outreach documents
- Attend department meetings
Qualifications
- Familiarity with HIV and substance abuse issues
- Comfortable working in a diverse group setting and independently with little supervision
- Capable of asking personal questions and maintaining complete confidentiality
- Outgoing personality with strong personal skills
- Strong writing skills
- Candidates who have worked in a social service setting are strongly encouraged to apply
