Description:
Care and Concern for Humanity is a
registered Volunteer Placement, Non profit and non-Governmental Organization.
CCH is seeking an intern-writer for client and organization stories for the annual report, donor materials, the website and media pitching ideas. The intern will develop story ideas, research, interview client families and staff and write stories and articles. The intern-writer reports to the director of PR and Marketing.
Qualifications:
• Journalism Students
• getting a degree in journalism,
English or similar field
• Strong copyediting, writing and research skills; Strong communication skills
• Open to taking direction and criticism and working in a team atmosphere
• Experience with producing multimedia stories and an interest in health care and disability issues is a plus. Must be willing to travel the rural communities in Ghana
Internships are 20-25 hours per week (or more) during our business hours (8:30-5 M-F). All opportunities are unpaid but local staff will work with you to obtain academic credit for your experience (service-learning, internship and co-op).
