CCH is seeking organic and volunteer driven organization with the mission of improving the quality of life of African refugees and immigrants, as well as, other low-income families. To achieve our mission, we promote community engagement and facilities access to meaningful resources and activities that promote the dignity and health of youth and families.

Scope of Work:
The Administrative Intern will focus on promoting math and science development among our youth. The person must be committed to helping the youth program provide science and math after-school help and activities to the center's youth.

Responsibilities:
-Assist youth with homework in the field of math and science
- Implement projects, programs and activities that promote math and science development in the youth

Requirements:
- Interest in working with at risk youth and refugee/immigrant population
-Strong communication and people skills
-Ability to deal with clients from different backgrounds
-Ability to remain calm in difficult situations
-Willingness to learn and think outside the box
-Self directed and self motivated
-Experience working with youth
- Academic background in the science and math field

Position Term: One to Three months commitment
Hours: 25 hours a week

Academic credit offered; Gain experience working on programs that impact the lives of inner-city youths, immigrants, low-income families and victims of war trauma.


Program Costs:
US $600. Per Month Stay on a program.
