Description:
Public Policy Internships:
Responsibilities will include assisting the unit in preparing the Public Policy Weekly - a weekly summary of legislative news, media, and events that is put together for members and key congressional staff; attending hearings and briefings as needed; researching legislative action that affects the international development community; write original articles and online companion pieces of our flagship publication Monday Developments; assisting with organizing events such as congressional staff briefings; and administrative support as needed.
Requirements: Commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per week, undergraduate/graduate student in government/political science, development, or international affairs with an interest in public policy is preferred; strong computer skills; communications skills.; and ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
Benefits: Internships are unpaid, but a monthly travel stipend up to $50 is available; learn about InterAction and how it engages with its members in advancing the common agenda around the world; and have an opportunity to learn about innovative ideas and issues facing the international development community.
